November is upon us and there's a nip in the air but there is still plenty of work to do. This month is all about thinking ahead and preparing the ground for next year.
As areas of your veg plot become vacant, dig them over and leave the soil in rough clods to be broken down by winter frost.
Remove plant debris
Old leaves and crop remains make ideal hiding places for slugs and snails. Despatch them to the compost as soon as you can.
Make your seed orders
The sooner you order your seeds, the more likely you are to get everything you want for next season. Keep in mind what crops did particularly well and what didn't, when making your order.
